- The pool table frame is very heavy, so make sure there are enough people to help with preparation.
- Dismantle the table as much as possible. Label each dismantled part to facilitate reassembly later.

- Use a socket wrench to remove the bolts for each rail.
- Remove the felt by lightly pulling it backwards or taking out the stables.
- Fold the felt to ensure it is flat and will not wrinkle.
- Unscrew the slate by taking out the screws around the edge of the table with a power drill.
- Wrap the slate in a moving blanket.
- Remove the table legs by unscrewing each one carefully.
- Cover the smaller removed parts in bubble wrap and pack separately in boxes or moving blankets.
