GLOSSARY
Zone picking
Zone picking is essential in warehouse management, and it represents an order picking method.
What does zone picking mean?
The warehouse is divided into different sections based on various products, and these sections represent the individual pick-up zones. There is usually designated staff to each of the different zones, and they only manage that area. In order for a picking order to be completed, they are moved from one zone to another (term further known as pick-and-pass).
