GLOSSARY
Roll on/Roll off (RO/RO) cargo
Roll-on/Roll-off, also known as RoRo, is the shipping of vehicles by ship where each vehicle is driven on and off the loading deck individually.
What is a Roll-on and Roll-off (RoRo) cargo?
When we speak about RoRo transport, we talk about the shipping of cars, trucks, semi-trailer trucks, busses, and other wheeled cargo on a ship. However, this is usually a combination of road and sea transport where the vehicles are driven to the ship individually and usually travel in an open deck.
