Harmonised Commodity Description and Coding System (HS/HTS Codes)
The harmonised system (HS/HTS codes) is used as standard numerical classification for the goods traded between two or more countries.
What is HS and HTS in customs?
The World Customs Organisation (WCO) has developed specific codes assigned to internationally traded products to easier determine and classify them. In most cases, the traded goods must have an HTS number for import or export corresponding to the country of import’s Harmonised Tariff Schedule.
