Spanish address format: example

A Spanish shipping address typically has three lines containing all the recipient’s details. Additional information can be included in case of international shipments or specific cases.

To correctly write a Spanish shipping address, you should follow this format:

  1. Recipient’s details. Full name or company name.
  2. Street and house number
Apartment details like floor or door (optional, after the house number)
  3. Postal code and town/city
  4. Country. Only in the case of international shipments.

Additional information on the Spanish shipping address

In the Spanish address, you can provide some additional information. Typically, details about the apartment are included on the same line as the street name and house number in the address.

To identify the right apartment, you can write the floor number and the apartment or unit number (or even position).

For example, if the recipient lives on the 3rd floor of Calle Aduana 7 in the apartment 17, you can write: Calle Aduana 7, 3 o, 17.

The additional information on the Spanish shipping address is mainly used for postal deliveries.

  • The first two digits in the postcode identify the province and autonomous city. For this reason, the prefix can be from 1 to 52.
  • The last three are used to identify the city and the delivery area.
