How to track a parcel when shipping with GLS

You can use GLS Track & Trace service to follow the status of your parcel using their website or official app.

If you booked a GLS shipping service with Eurosender you can follow the parcel using our online tracking tool.

The most common GLS tracking statuses

Are you following your parcel on GLS tracking tool and you don’t understand what the status mean? Check out the most common tracking statuses:

  • Preadvice: the shipment data were processed but the parcel is still not physically handed over to GLS.
  • In transit: the parcel has been physically handed over to GLS and will be routed via the relevant parcel centres until it arrives at the final parcel centre.
  • Final parcel centre: the parcel is at the final parcel centre and will move to delivery in the next step.
  • In delivery: the parcel has left the final parcel centre and is in the GLS delivery vehicle. It is expected to be delivered to you during the course of the day.

Where can I find my GLS tracking number?
After your booking, you will all the details of your shipment, including the GLS tracking number. This information is usually shared via email or in the order confirmation.
If you can’t find the GLS tracking number, you can contact the sender or the company you booked the shipment with.
In case you booked with Eurosender, you can contact us via chat or online form.
Can I follow a GLS shipment without tracking number?
Typically, tracking a GLS parcel requires a tracking number or any other code identifying the specific shipment. The company allows you to track your parcel using one of the following data:
  • Tracking number;
  • Shipment ID;
  • Delivery note.
If you can’t find your GLS tracking number or any of the other identification codes, do not hesitate to contact the courier or Eurosender (only for shipments booked with us) to retrieve that information.
Is the tracking on GLS website updated frequently?
The Track & Trace section of GLS gets updated every time the parcel is scanned in the courier hubs or at customs.
If the shipment has to travel the length of the country or is bound for abroad, then there may be up to a few days between updates.
What should I do if the GLS tracking is not updating?
It may take up to 2-3 days for the GLS tracking status to be updated in case of long routes. If the status is not updating for more than 48 hours, we suggest you contact the GLS courier to ask for more details about your shipment.
If you book a shipment with GLS on Eurosender platform and you see no updates in our tracking tool for more than 48 hours, do not hesitate to contact us.
