Pallet collection and delivery with FedEx – Europe & Worldwide
FedEx offers pallet shipping services to more than 220 countries and territories around the world. Booking a logistics service may seem overwhelming because the options available vary from country to country. In this guide, you will find out how pallet shipping with FedEx works for European and global destinations.
How to ship a pallet internationally with FedEx?
There are two ways of scheduling a pallet collection and delivery with FedEx: through their website or via custom quotes. FedEx offers instant pallet shipping rates through their online calculator, which requires you to input the countries of pick-up and delivery and the size details of your shipment.
The second alternative is to request quotes directly from FedEx and wait for their contact. In this case, their logistics agents will get in touch with you with a few shipping options so you can select the one that suits you best.
Is there a way to get discounted pallet rates with FedEx?
FedEx offers great pallet shipping discounts for registered users through their “last-minute rate” feature. Whenever additional space is left on their trucks or planes, FedEx offers it at discounted rates via special deals announced only through their platform.
The discounted price will appear as one of the options when you get a quote through the online pricing tool, but you will need a FedEx account to be able to benefit from this service. This can be a great saving opportunity for those with a flexible shipping schedule to wait for such deals or shippers lucky to come across them when they have urgent shipping deadlines.
FedEx services for shipping pallets internationally
FedEx offers a wide range of freight services depending on the location you will be shipping. For European customers, the two most used services are:
- FedEx International Priority Freight: typically 1-3 business days
- FedEx International Economy Freight: typically 2-6 business days
FedEx ground pallet shipping solutions
For customers in the US, Canada and Mexico, FedEx offers ground pallet shipping through LTL services. Their LTL Freight solution caters to palletised shipments weighing more than 68 kg (150 lbs).
FedEx ground pallet shipping via LTL is more affordable than their Priority Express Service (transported by plane) but has longer delivery times.

PALLET SIZES
FedEx pallet size guide – International Freight Services
Any shipment weighing over 68 kg or 150 lbs with FedEx is considered freight. Even if you have a single package that is heavier than 68 kg, it should then be packed on a pallet to be shipped as freight.
For the FedEx International Priority and Economy Freight services, shipments have to be palletised and weigh more than 68 kg (150 lbs). FedEx does not determine a maximum pallet size for these services, but pallets or skids that weigh more than 997 kg (2,200 lbs) or exceed 177 cm (70″) in height, 302 cm (119″) in length, or 203 (80″) in width require prior approval.
