Noela joined Eurosender in March 2020, just when the quarantine was officially proclaimed in Slovenia. She began her career with us as a customer support agent but soon moved on to a new position as a Van Specialist. Due to her continuous dedication and hard work, Noela is today a Logistics Project Manager responsible for the Eurosender network of logistics carriers and couriers.
1. What are the most significant advantages of a dedicated van delivery service in your opinion?
A dedicated van delivery service offers really numerous advantages. The most important one in my opinion is the direct and fast delivery to the final address with a van where space is dedicated to each individual customer. Our logistics experts can arrange a pick-up within 2-3 hours only. Deliveries are made the same day or on longer routes in the next one or two days.
Among other benefits let me just mention the possibility of multiple collections and deliveries at different addresses. We can arrange both, pick-up and delivery, during weekends. For those who need it, we can handle deliveries to most islands in Europe. Each van shipment is traceable. Every shipper or receiver who wants an update on where the van is or when his delivery is expected can contact our logistics team. No special packaging is required. However, we still advise our customers to pack accordingly if they transport anything fragile or of higher value. Another really great benefit is that a van can access places that are not accessible to big trucks, which can happen rather often in narrow streets.
2. What kind of shipments are the Eurosender customers mostly using the dedicated van service for?
Dedicated van service is used by both, private and business users. Private individuals mainly use it for relocation and removal purposes. Either within the same country or to another European country when moving for work, studies, volunteering and more.
Our business customers come from many different industries. Let me mention a few among them:
- Automotive industry
- Textile industry
- Electronics industry
- Healthcare industry
- AOG or aviation industry
- Events logistics
- e-commerce
- Postal sector
Many of them use the van service on a daily level as this is the fastest transport solution which helps them optimise their logistics processes in today’s fast pace.
3. Do many of them take advantage that the Eurosender logistics specialists can organise the service within the same day?
Yes, many. Nowadays, we often hurry and need ad-hoc solutions. Not in the terms of logistics services only, but in general on every step of the day. Speed and fast solutions are of paramount importance now more than ever. And this is where the Eurosender logistics experts step in and handle such cases with utmost care.
We work only with the most trustworthy and highly experienced logistics providers. Our network consists of more than 3500 box and curtain-side vans. Each van has a load capacity of 1000 kg or up to 10 Euro pallets.
4. What alternative can Eurosender offer to customers whose loads are too big to fit into a van?
We can offer them 2 vans and can still arrange same-day collection upon their request. Or, we can offer LTL or FTL services, but we cannot guarantee the same-day collection in this case.
5. How do you see the fact that Eurosender can combine various logistics solutions fully tailored to each individual customer’s needs?
It’s amazing to work with so many trustworthy partners that we can truly find the best possible option for almost any kind of shipment almost anywhere in Europe and around the world. This is a very big benefit for our customers, as we offer a wide range of logistics services. It’s not just about van delivery, it’s much more that we can offer. Many of our customers use our standard or express package services or Express Document service for shipping documents. Our pallet delivery is a very popular option among different business clients. In addition to this, as a Eurosender employee, I love that I can use my creativity at work, and feel really good and proud when our team manage to find fully tailored solutions for the most complex logistics demands.
6. We are working with many international couriers and carriers, how did you and your colleagues build such a vast network?
It’s always been our drive and dedication to providing the best services tailored to our clients’ needs with the most competitive prices on the market. At the same time, we are committed to growing the business for us as a company and for our partners.
A very important factor to achieve such a goal is to nurture the relationships with our clients, partners and of course, ours as a team. Good and open communication is of utmost importance here.
7. Is Eurosender still expanding any new service?
We are always expanding our logistics services in order to be able to cater to as many different clients as possible. At the same time, we are improving and upgrading our existing services as we believe there is always room for improvement. We also combine different services which enable us to find solutions for an even great number of our clients.
8. What is in your opinion the most important when you approach a new potential carrier?
Whenever I approach a new potential carrier or courier we would like to work with, I need to have a clear goal and an elaborate proposal plan of what we want to achieve. I have to clearly present what can we offer and what are our goals and terms as well. It is also very important to follow up, to have good and open communication and to try to solve any potential question as soon as it arises.
9. Why would a logistics company become a Eurosender partner?
At Eurosender, we always strive to offer the best service level to all our customers. Nevertheless, we understand that fairness is the most important factor in order to have a good and long partnership in which both parties happily grow.
Are you a logistics company looking for new challenges? At Eurosender, we are always looking for new opportunities to expand and grow our network.
